Project notes
Pin what you learn to a block, and let the note travel with the repo.
Add a note
Select a block and choose Add note, write what the next person needs to know, and save. The note pins to that block — not to a line number — and shows in the details panel and wherever the block appears.
Where notes live
Notes are stored in .lightwell/notes.json at the project root. Commit that file and your team sees the same notes on the next pull; leave it uncommitted and the notes stay yours. Nothing else in your repo is touched.
When code changes
Each note remembers a fingerprint of its block. Edit the code and the note is flagged stale — “Code changed since this note was written.” — so nobody trusts it blindly. Open the note, check it against the current code, and edit or remove it; saving clears the stale flag. Notes whose block disappears stay readable and editable as orphans until you remove them.
